I'm trying to learn more about my x3 and do the dirty work myself, always enjoyed working on my cars. My tail light went out the other day and I need to replace it, does anyone know how to change them? I tried removing the hatch but a strained sound from the plastic halted that approach. Any suggestions are appreciated, especially from those who have done this before

you have to get through through the panel which you can find if you open the hatch. bmw makes it hard to get in though, they always make it hard to do stuff yourself.
