Changed the fuses under the steering wheel, and ive replaced all tail lights despite them not being burned out. Brake lights work, but tail lights for night time driving dont. The dash lights are also out. there has been one time when the dash light and tail light both came on, but then went back out again.

Sounds like you may have a bad headlight switch. Could have shorted out and still allows the headlights to work. Not hard or expensive to replace. Break lights don't run through the switch, but the dash and the running lights do.

If the fuses are good, then I would suspect the light switch is the problem.
