Hi, I've got a 2003 M茅gane and I'm having trouble with the rear lights. All three brake lights come on, but when the headlights are on, only one tail light comes on. I changed the bulb, but still doesn't light up as a tail lamp. Also, neither of the small lights that light up the rear registration plate work, I've also changed these bulbs. There is no particular fuse for these bulbs either.
Any ideas what to do?

If the bulbs and fuses are OK then only the wiring and connectors are left to be faulty. switch should be OK if the others are working on it.

Renault's do suffer from connector and wiring problems, so it may well be that one of them is the cause of the problem. The good news is that renault recognised they had some problems with connectors and they can be brought separately from the rest of the wiring loom. the number plate lights get their power feeds from a small two pin block plug located behind one of the rear lights (passenger side), so again this connection maybe the cause of the problem.
in my experience the majority of lighting faults are caused by an earthing fault! identify the earth wire from the rear cluster(generally black) and check continuity by running an independant lead to a clean metal surface.
