I have probblems with my tail lights on my toyota corolla 1985.?

I went for a drive in my car. And at the lights changed to yellow i braked hard to a stop now ever since the brake lights are still on even tho i am not touching the brakes. i think i have broken the switch in the brake. Is there a way that i can fix it my self?

Under you brake padal has a break switch attack to car body Its black white botton switch off set.

It very easy to replace and adjust it has 2 nuts 14mm, things you need just 2 open wrenches.

Replace your brake light switch.
if you look on the arm that your brake pedal ataches to there should be a small barrel type switch with a plunger head .See if you bent the hold down or if the switch need to be reset If not replace the switch
your brake switch is fine. Thw little black rubber switch bumper is gone. They deteriate and fall out.

replace it and it will work.
