I have changed all the light bulbs, I have checked all the fuses. all is OK. We are getting a brake failure message on the dash

the brake lamp switch probably has a separate contact for the high mount lamp and is working while the contacts for regular brake lamps have failed. recommend test, replace switch
We have had to replace the contacts for these,that is the metal portion of the assembley.make sure you are getting power and ground to the points first with an Ohm meter
if the third light works there is a broken circuit between the third light and the rear of the car
They might need to fault trace the lines,
