How do I change the tail light bulb on a 2000 Ford Taurus?

Usually you will need to pop the boot (trunk) and either on the left or right (whichever is out) you will see some plastic black or dark grey screw like fictures that looks to be secruring this kind of carpet that lines your boot.

Take those out and pull back the carpet. You should then see the back of your tail light. Will be this black plug looking thing with some wires coming out of it. Grab hold of it and it will need to be turned to one side or the other. Once it turns just pull it out and you should see the bulb.

Becareful and take the bulb out and replace it with your new one. Make sure the new buld numbers is the same as the old one and it also is a good idea to get some light seeze from Auto Zone or even Wal-mart and add alittle to the new light before inserting it. This helps the bulb from rusting and makes it last longer. Have fun...

I want to say %26quot;With a hole saw%26quot; after the day I've had, but I'm pretty sure you could just unscrew the whole lamp from inside the trunk. Then getting at the bulbs should be easy.
